Cross Country Bank visa late charges and overlimit fee, ripoff business from hell consumer fraud Florida Internet

called to cancel my account but they would never cancel it charges kept adding up limit was given of $350 and have paid

was givena limit of $350.00 went shopping charged items then was declined found out that i was already charged a total of 150.00 leaving the balance of $200.00 available to spend. when i found out that was the case i called them and told them that i wanted to cancel the card and not to send me anything else in the mail to consider them i was told that the card would rebuild my credit and be good for me well i said okay, but then after thinking about it i called back within a couple of days and told them no that i changed my mind and that they were trying to beat me out of my money.

so they said that i could cancel it so i made a payment and they found out that the account was not closed. had several conversations with them and was always given the run around so i stopped paying until we came to a conclusion. well that only made it worse the late fees and over the limit fees kept adding up because they wouldnt give in and neither would i. i even think that they re enrolled me for the following year and then cancelled me although i cancelled the card over 10 months ago. now i am stuck with this and i dont have money for a lawyer either but something has got to be done. they even call me at work after me telling them not to many time, so now i have faxed them a letter but the account if well over $500.00 and i have paid more than $400.00 so they want me to pay about 1000.00 for the amount of 200.00 because the fee was $150.00. although my credit is not the best i have other credit cards and pay no annual fee and i told them that when they tried to make me keep the account. is there someone out there that can help me if not this is the last straw and i am going to act and act fast.
