I called Directv on 11/10/11 for a moving kit, the representative told me that according to what they had in their warehouse would determine how many boxes for receivers would be sent.  We received only one box, so we determined that it was only the HD receiver that was needed.  So we returned the HD Receiver in the box that was sent along with the remote controllers (5).  We received the box on 11/17/11 and was told that Directv received the receiver on 11/19/11.  On 12/27/11, $192.19 was taken from our checking account, we called Directv and was told that this amount was taken due to four receivers that was not returned.   I then told Directv what happened that we only received one box.  The representative then told me that the boxes were sent but we refused.  I thought this was rather curious because if we had received the one box why would they say that we refused the other four boxes?  So on/about 12/29/11, I called Directv and they said that they would submit the other four boxes for the four receivers.  We received the boxes on 12/31/11 and returned them on 1/3/12.

 I called Directv on 1/12/12 to ask them when we would receive the $243.91 credit back into our checking account.  Note that included in this amount was a credit balance that was due us before was added into this balance due.  The representative told me that it would take 30 days to receive this credit back into our checking account.  I then told her that it was not fair that we had to wait this long for our money because they want their money on time so why should we have to wait this long?  She then stated that generally they have to see if any other  charges from perhaps pay per view were charged on the receivers etc. but that we had no charges so I then asked why we would still have to wait that long.  She could not give me a legitimate answer, (Rebecca, ID#0045497). I expressed my anger to her saying that I would never ever use Directv again.  

So please do not use Directv they are not fair when they owe you money when you discontinue your service with them.
