I telephoned DISHNETWORK, after recieving a letter in the mail that my money had not been taken out of my account on the date requested by me and I spoke to a very nice gentleman who PROMISED I would not have any probelm if I made 2 payments of $85.67 in the next two months.
I thanked him as he said since I was such a VALUED CUSTOMER and I had explained I was a disabled person with a diabled child, and also had my Daughter and family added on so they could have their own box.
And I also said it was our only real form of entertainment as we could not afford to go anywhere. He told me to send in the next 2 payments by mail and in Jan.2002, on the 3rd, which is when I get paid and being on a fixed income I needed them to take it out on pay-day as my money went out very fast for bills.
I then got a dis-connect notice stating I must make my payment,even though I had set up an autopay monthly directly out of my account.
So, I called again on Mon. Jan.14th and tried to arrange to split the bill into two payments for that month.
A very nice lady talked to me and said that I now would not be able to stop disconnection unless I would send in $95.87. which I explained I did not have.
She then asked if there was ANY WAY possible for me to borrow that extra money and send it in in within 10 days from Jan. 14th, I would have NO disruption in my service.
I did have to wait until my son-inlaw who works very little hours to borrow $50.00 while put in the extra amount which came to $95.87.
I and my family did this ONLY because we did'nt want our service interupted. I mailed a MONEY ORDER on Jan.18th. and THEY SHUT OFF MY SERVICE!!!!!! I called several times and got the same person another lady stating until it was posted which would take another 7 to 10 Bussiness days we would remain shut off.
I asked why??????? I sent the money. She said well we have to post it in our computer. I said I already was told I would not have to wait for that as long as my money had been sent.
I did not feel WE should have to pay for their MIS-INFORMATION OR THEIR MISTAKE IN NOT GETTING MY MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT.
I informed this very RUDE woman that I expected some sort of satisfaction from this error on their part. She told me I WOULD NOT BE GETTING MY SERVICE BACK ON NO MATTER WHAT UNTIL THEY HAD POSTED IT.
I then asked for the name of the CEO of the company amd his phone number. She said I could only have an address or e-mail, I of course chose e-mail.
WHAT A SURPRISE that this man CHARLIE EDRGEN could not be located. up you popped and here I am. I believe that companys that charge such a enormous amount of money each month should not be allowed to get away with this. ESPECIALLY taking ADVANTAGE of DISABLED PERSONS SUCH AS MYSELF. my CHECK WAS SENT ON BORROWED MONEY SO.............THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO DO THIS. AND THIS BASIS OF MY RIP-OFF!!!!!!!! HELP????? THAN YOU,
