First Select Travel Total Ripoff, don't trust Clarksburg Maryland

A fax was sent to my work, since it was sent to my work and was offering public service workers a discount, I believed it was legit. I purchased a package from First Select Travel in November 2014. I have attempted to book travel through the program twice with the end quote being 3-4 times more than what the promotional package was. On the 1st attempt, I was told the price was high because it was during peak season and within the 90 days of a request. I started the process in November for a March departure. I tried again in April for an August departure. I received a quote for 3x more again. I asked was this travel request during peak and it was not. I have asked for the initial purchase to be refunded to me. I have not received a response from First Select Travel. The customer service representative said, requests for refunds are made within 72 hours of purchase. You donot get a response from the second level until 7-10 days.

The following are the steps I had to go through to attempt to make travel arrangements for this package.

1. First Select Travel - process promotion

2. Activate Travel voucher - with is a $69/traveler request through The Travel Center 23219 Stringtown Rd #223 Clarksburg, MD 20871 Customer Service# 1-800-861-7313 (send check or money order by mail)

3. Request a quote at $25.00 from Fun Time Reservation Center 23219 Springtown Rd #302 Clarksburg, MD 20871 (send check or money order by mail)

4. Then you wait 7-10 days for a quote

5. A quote is sent to you via email, if you donot check your emails a regular you will miss your opportunity to book because you didnot respond within 24 hours to the quote. If you approve of the quote then they will send you a form asking for your banking or credit card to autodraft your account for the amount due.

If you don't respond or reject the quote.

6. You submit a request for another quote at $25

I have never gone through this many steps to go on a trip or had to wait so long for a response to inquiries.
