Took another trip on Greyhound when I had a bad week on a business trip to St. Louis. I had said before that I would never do it again.

I have had terrible experiences before, including being mugged outside two different locations: Minneapolis and Kansas City. Just got lucky in St. Louis because there was actual fist fighting in the street at the bus station.

I got my ticket and was thrilled to head back to Florida. I was told my bag was fine to carry on, but unlike the plane I flew to St. Louis with expectations of a great business deal, the bus overhead was way too small and couldn't even put it in front of my seat. Rode all the way to Nashville with it on my lap. I packed only what I needed so that I wouldn't have to check baggage on an airplane, let alone a bus. Knew that they were known for lost luggage more that airlines. When I got to Nashville, I just couldn't take it anymore so I checked my bag with assurance. That was the last time I saw it. My life was in that bag. When the bus stopped in Birmingham, AL, we were told that they had baggage handlers and were not allowed between buses. Then they put me on another bus, as there were two bound for Montgomery, AL. They even went as far as to come aboard the new bus to assure us that our bags were handled by professionals and would meet us in Montgomery on one of the two buses. Needless to say, in Montgomery my bag was on neither. I was told then that it would meet me in Mobile, AL quite rudely, like I was doing something wrong being worried about MY LUGGAGE! I was rudely told the same in Mobile and since have called Nashville, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile and Pensacola, FL.

I finally called the main office, as I couldn't get through to an agent very often at the terminals. They said they were busy helping customers. I AM A CUSTOMER TOO! So the main office told me my baggage claim ticket was redeamed in Los Angeles, CA and someone had picked it up! What! I have the claim ticket in my hand! How could this happen?

I am tired of the rudeness, lack of concern, and total lack of professionalism from Greyhound Bus Lines. I wish there was some competition for them. Maybe they would learn to appreciate their clientelle. Never again. I will fly if it is 60 miles. I am soooo pissssssed.
