My husband and I purchased a bedroom set from The Roomplace in Merrillville, IN. We searched for the right fit, seeing as this is the first bedroom set we are purchasing together. Also, seeing that I am 3 months pregnant and tired of waking up in pain every morning.

We got our dream set, mattress and all and they told us it would be around a week or so before it would come in. We were ok with this because it was still within our time frame (had family moving in and a wedding at our home).

The day came that they were setting up delivery, they confirmed the day and time. Day of delivery comes and the delivery guys come with everything BUT the mattress! He says it will be 2 more weeks! We call, and call, and call the store.....no answer.

I drive 20 minutes there to sit for 2 hours just to be told that it would be another 3 days, that the mattress never came in. OK, so 3 days later they call and say it is in. Delivery is set for Thursday, Wednesday they call to schedule delivery for Thursday from 2-530. Then an hour or so later call and cancel the delivery, it is NOT IN!

I drive there, and speak to an acting manager who says that my only option is to change mattress textures. So, we settle on a soft mattress in the same style. We go to the counter for them to make the change, and they tell me that I can not do it because I am not on the card with my husband.

My husband leaves work to come deal with this, and sits in with the next higher manager. She tells us that there is nothing she can do. That a 50$ gift card is all she can do, and that we can not get the soft mattress that the only one available is the firm. After we explain everything, they still say nothing. Why should we settle for something that we do not want, because they can not figure it out? We did cancel the mattress order, and got a refund, ended up spending more at another store for a better mattress.

BY the end, it has been 2 weeks since order, and a week since delivery and still no mattress!!! This is bad business, 50$ is almost and insult, besides who is going to purchase anything from a company that can not even deliver a mattress, or atleast when they say they will.
