Home Assure Promised my house was saved and foreclosure was stopped! NOT!!! New York New York

I was told that a plan would be put in place and agreed to by my lender before fees to Home Assure would be required. After fees were paid a mitigater would help me with final details of a plan. I received a plan that I was told was agreed to by my lender and that the only thing left was exactly how much my monthly repayment would be. I could do this with my lender or use their free services. Free services? I paid $1,500! That's free? Anyway...I paid the fee. Mitigater did not return my call for 4 days. And that was after several messages. Once I spoke to her she informed me there was a sale date on the house (which I never knew) and there would be nothing she could do without me paying 1 to 2 payments within 2 weeks! THe agreement already made up said I would have 30 days to come up with half that amount! Home Assure does not check on the actual status of your situation. They take information of what you know about (or think you know) and hope for the best. They never called my lender before I paid the fee to verify any information. My lender has informed me that they will do no more of a settlement with them than they would with me. Home Assure is saying I lied to them by not informing them of a sale date (again I had no idea there was) and therefore was my fault and NONE of my money would be returned. They said they made a plan and I am choosing not to go forward. Therefore there is no refund. My lender said if I had that money it would have been enough to stop my sale date. So I thank Home Assure in helping me lose my home and NOT to save it!
