We recently built a house with JWH. when talking to the sales person I very forwardly asked if the cabinets were solid wood or if they used particle board. I stated that I did not want trailer cabinets in my house to - fall apart. They told me yes very assuredly "yes".

They put my cabinets in - twisting them because they where not square. when i came in to inspect them I pointed out that they were not square and that they where made from particlel board therefore they where not acceptable. I was then informed that you can not buy real wood cabients and that when the tops where installed they would square. I have been in the construction buisness for 15 years tell me another one...

The sales person also told me that the first years insurance was paid for by JWH. I later found out that too was a lie. They barely cover the house while under construction much less after for a year. She also assured me the floors where made out of tounge and groove plywood not OSB board. well my floor is,you guest it,OSB

I have attempted on many occasions to contact the home office in Charlotte N.C. and left voice mail after voice mail with Mr. Sam Bass. I have yet to hear from any one on this matter. They know they are useing wrong buisness practices and don't care. That is why noone will reply to any ones complaints.

I was also reading one of the other articles. they bring a form out for you and the construction manager to go over. He tells you that they are finished and you tell him what is wrong with the house. He notes it one anoter form and you sign the first one.In which he then tells you the house is yours and he is no longer responsible for any of the building materials for any futher construction of the house. They have full fill the contract and the finace forms will be forwarded to Mid- State Homes for your payments to start 45 days latter. And none of yor problems are handled rom that day on with out getting irate with the project manager or the location manager.
