Ncrs- Debt Collect Atempted to obtain a false debt Concord North Carolina

We recieved an inital letter on April 4, 2009 stating that we owed $189.99 due by april 10th or we would owe an additional $300.00 fee plus court costs. We couldn't figure out who we owed the money too. Upon calling they sent us a letter supposedly a copy of a magazine subscriptions agreement that we had never signed.

We did recieve magazines named in the letter but it has been years and they have all expired and we have never heard from the original company. Upon further examination of the letter we noticed bad grammar, miss punctuations, and an overall feel that was not professional. The Amount of $189.99 was written in blue ink. Even though it was a supposed collection letter it had no signature and listed no last name for this Julianne person.
