We purchased our Oakwood home 5 years ago. I have since gotten over the fact that they backed it into a tree and dented the side, our home came filled with ants, and not leveled when we moved in.
Time seemed to be on our side when I get a phone call on a Sunday stating our payment was late. I have NEVER been late on our payment!
They called us Sunday and Monday leaving a message to call them. When I called on Monday, they informed me I was late on my payment. This is the 8th of the month, not the 15th.
I told them I did not like being harassed on Sunday, I don't like being harassed at my place of employment (mind you a law firm). And then they came up with a $10 "title fee" from 1998! That has since been removed.
I urge anyone, NOT to deal with Oakwood. Maybe that is why they went out of business in Cincinnati, Ohio!
