I received by mail the Martha Stewart Living Annual Recipes 2005 on 11/30/04. I never placed an order for this book.

Last year in November, I received the Martha Stewart Living Annual Recipes 2004 which I never placed an order for. At this time, I called Oxmoor House and told them I was returning the 2004 book and did not want to ever receive any more books from them especially ones that were never ordered by me.

Several years ago I had the same problem of receiving books from Oxmoor House which were never ordered by me. These were Southern Living Recipe Books. After the second annual book was received, I told them to never send any more. The only publications I had ever ordered were Martha Stewart Living Magazine and Southern Living Magazine.

I could not find a telephone number this year to contact them personally, so I went on the web to their "customer service" site. You have to set up an "account" just to print a Merchandise Return Label so you can return the book you didn't order in the first place. No telling what I'll get now, since I set up an account with them just so the book can be returned.

I emailed them to tell them I was returning their book that was never ordered by me and also reporting them to my state attorney's office.

I also found on the web where there have been other complaints about them for the same reasons. The Federal Trade Commission brought charges against them in 2002 and fined them for not adequately informing consumers about the terms of their "free trial" book offers. In 2003, a class action suit was brought against them in Alabama.

Even after the above complaints, they continue to send books that were never ordered and harass innocent people about paying for them.
