I purchased their pre-paid credit card and setup my account with direct deposit. I also purchased two other cards for my son and a friend so that I can easily send them money without needing to go to MoneyGram. I have had two terrible recurring experiences -- one of them is because I think there might be some illegal activities going on with people's monies. 1. I have had my paychecks deposited to my account and in the morning, when funds should be available I have been consistently declined withdrawal of funds at ATM machines at 7am. When I call their customer service they say to try to withrdraw the funds around 12 pm. I know I cannot be the only person this is happening to and when I google the business it's an obvious issue for other. I have heard of companies taking people's money and investing in stocks to earn money and then pull those funds out after they gain and put the money back into the accounts. In the meantime, the customers accounts say they have money, but if the money isn't in there...they are declined funds and I believe the CS representatives are trained on what exactly to tell their customers in these situations. There are no managers available. There is no form of technical support for their website or otherwise. The customer reps don't really care if you stay or your go and you will see in their blase attitudes. There is something sneaky going on with this company and it cannot be legal...I am going to also report this to the government. Maybe Safeway should've stuck with groceries.... 2. I created two other accounts for my son and my friend so that I can send them money on occasion. The accounts are not linked to my account, though I am supposed to be able to send money. There is apparently a $100 max you can transfer online (doesn't say that anywhere), but even so, since December I have not been able to transfer any money because I keep getting an error, "You have exceeded your limit."...Hmmm...maybe it has something to do with my issue number 1. I called the number, I walked through the issue, they tell me anything over $100 I need to submit a service ticket request that takes 3-5 days to process. What? The other thing I need is the persons actual account number? I don't have his account number. Why can't they just fix their f****** website and I wouldn't need to go through all of this each time I want to send money? I have had this issue since December when I was trying every single day to send funds as I was out of state...I was finally able to send funds in January. I asked if they instead could submit a service ticket to get this issue on their website fixed and she said she doesn't have Technical Support and their is no recourse. What?? Furthermore, their "Contact Us" page does NOT list any senior management or executive directors listed. I was in Reno in December and saw their 'empty building standing' -- looks abandoned to me. The email goes only to, you guessed it...their unhelpful Customer Service. I will be taking out my money and going through this process of removing my direct deposit, auto payments, etc. because I don't trust this company with my money. It should give you an idea of how sure I am that this is just wrong. It's shady business...even if it's a minor inconvenience, who's to say that when the greed get's really big that all of our money isn't wiped out and we are left standing scratching our heads asking, "How could this happen?". Well, it's not going to happen to me.
