Strayer Online/University if the biggest rip-off degree mill ever I did not think I would find incompetence worse than University of Phoenix, but I was wrong.

You would not believe what I went through. I applied for admission in October 2006. I was accepted and then their only job was to order transcripts from 2 schools I previously attended. They couldn't even do that right. I followed up repeatedly until I discovered one came thorough. Had I not followed up, I would not have known that they had problems getting the second, which, at this point was already the end of November (they told me this process takes no longer than two weeks). I was assured that they never had problems like this before (yes, I am the only UOP transfer student and they never in millions of students had problems getting a transcript in a timely manner) and that they would follow uP after requesting the transcript be fed-ex'd within 2 daysdays went by, no follow up, to find this slipped thru the cracks a few more times. Now we are in December. I still had no information. I had no course outline or schedules, no transcript evaluation, no one eager to assist me as a customer and provide the information I needed in exchange for the 50K+ in tuition I was about to pay to FINISH my degree, no assistance from the financial aid office, nothing. My admissions counselor was useless. It is as if they play chase until they get you in the door, then drop you like a hot potato assuming you are so desperate to get a convenient degree, you will pretty much succumb to any crap they dish out. I then had the campus director (a joke) involved, as the other folks (beware of Anna Singh the Business Manager not even REPLYING to my tons and tons of email inquiries. The campus Director can't spell worth a lick, and he is the client who is supposed to be sending ME professional correspondence. All he did was make excuse after excuse for his employees. I know where to go for a job if I want to be held no accountability and am allowed to screw up potential business and be defended for non-performance. This went on until JANUARY. I still had NO INFORMATION. I was getting no reply from this admissions counselor (Mirela at Loudoun Campus), who ASSURED ME IN DECEMBER she would not let this slip thru the cracks and that she would be working thru the holidays, and she would keep a tickler file to follow up with all of my requests. IN JANUARY I get some email that she is on MATURITY LEAVE from the campus director (yes, MATURITY LEAVE). He would not get up off his behind and get me any of this information. I basically needed three pieces of information to be ready for school on the 16th of January a TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION so that I could SIGN UP for classes knowing what I still needed to take, instruction son how the online courses work and how to enroll for courses. THIS INFORMATION could have been sent MONTHS AGO via USPS or E-MAIL and it was down to the wire less than a week before classes begin and NOTHING from ANYONE. This was a very SIMPLE REQUEST.

I then had the VP of Strayer involved, who is even more useless than the rest of them send me an email that this would be given to me that day. Finally, out of the woodworks, they all were able to send me the information I needed.it took me getting the VP involved who had a meeting with them to send me three pieces of information. I got home from work and was ready to enroll. THANK GOD, before doing so, I checked my email box to find a letter from the VP reprimanding me for not respecting the best staff at Strayer as I was respected. I froze in astonishment and a sudden CALM came over me. I simply decided that Strayer was a JOKE, and if these people were a representation of what a GRADUATE IS, then I wanted no part of it. Point of the matter is I earn more now than their stupid support staff, and I will ive another 4 months with no schooling to wait for something worth my time. I simply would not recommend Strayer to ANYONE and will downgrade them at every opportunity throughout the remainder of my career. I am going into HR, so they really did not need ME as their disgruntled customer.

DO NOT ATTEND STRAYER!
