Wow! Talk about inflation!!!
Last weekend I went into Target to buy two bottles of Vaseline Intensive Care, which I use on a daily basis. For the last 6+ months, I have paid $5.39 for the pump bottle. Target had a "sale" sign covering the regular price---their SALE price was $6.49 per bottle, and if you bought four bottles, you would get a $5.00 gift card.
HHHHMMMMM, I did the math while standing there. Target raised their price $1.10 (to $6.49), so if you bought the four (on special), you'd get $5.00 free. Problem is, they raised the price so you'd actually be paying $4.40 more; thus, your "FREE" gift card is paid for, and you're actually getting only 60 cents free.
I asked a clerk in the aisle why the regular price under the "SALE" price was $5.39 but that the new price was $6.49. He couldn't answer, so he called for a manager. A young femaile came over and told me $6.49 was their new price. I questioned how they could raise it $1.10---that it has always been $5.39. She said that it was the management decision to do it but that they had not received the new regular prices of $6.49 to post. I told her this was ridiculous; walMart is $5.34 for the same product.
I told her this was the last time I was coming to a Target store. I spend around $1,000 to $1,200 on an annual basis for househould products, clothes, and beauty items, and that she could tell her manager to relay to "management" that they will be losing my money--I am switching to either WalMart or KMart. KMart is very accomodating and helpful; some items may be a little more expensive, but when they have sales it is a comparable price to WalMart. Plus, I have had no trouble with "pricing" issues there. I'd rather give them my money, than to a store that raises prices $1.10 at a time.

Inflation does not mean an item suddenly goes up in price by over $1.00...that's more likea rip-off.
Try trolling when you can make a valid point, not an idiotic comment.

There is NO RIPOFF here. I swear its like you are taking stupid pills. Im SURE you have heard of inflation. When a vendor charges more for an item, its the customer who pays for it. Go away and cry someone else a river.
