My estranged father's house was foreclosed upon in 1996. He lived and resided in the city of Philadelphia (same city as house) until he died last year in 2010. The Cadle Company purchased his outstanding $5,000 debt leftover from foreclosure sale.
June 29, 2010 - I receive a notice of claim to collect $25,000!!! The Cadle Company has accrued interest for 15 years, and NEVER collected it from my father. There is no evidence Cadle Company EVER tried to collect this money until they attempted to sue his estate. He died 9 months ago and all his creditors were notified and paid.
The Cadle Company refuses to provide any proof they even tried to collect from my father between 1996-2010. The Statute of Limitations expired 10 years ago!!!
This practice MUST be illegal. How can they not be sued, or better yet, prosecuted for this practice?
