I wish I had seen this site when I bought my phone from TMS. Anyway. My phone broke, and I am trying to get it replaced because I bought insurance ("Mobile Protection Plan") through TMS. The last 3 times I called over 2 days, every operator's been telling me their billing system is down. Is this all part of trying to get as few claims filed as possible? regardless, does anyone have any experience filing an phone insurance claim with TMS?

SATISFIED 100% FORMER EMPLOYEE/CUSTOMER OF THE MOBILE SOLUTION

AUTHOR: Princess - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, August 29, 2009

I must honestly say, I am very dissapointed to hear all of this complaints towards "The Mobile Solution" (TMS). I have just recently found out that they were shut down for being "scams". And honestly I am very shocked, I worked for this company a matter of 3 months (like most say employees last). I have nothing to complain about them, if I did not get harrassed by the amount of customers I did at the mall I worked at Gurnee Mills (which by the way we were in the top 10 in the Chicagoland Area) I would have stayed with them. We had a cart and we were promised a kiosk but I couldnt stand the harrasment from bypassers and rude people trying to hook-up. I've read stories of ex-employees not getting paid on their 162 phones. Can't say its not possible because it could be, but I must say to everyone that has complained On my behalf and not TMS, I am sorry you have had such a bad experience working for them. I want to note that those of us who were honest sales representatives did work with good intentions and were trained to do so. I loved the guys I worked with, they helped me I helped them. Yes, I did sell my 40 phones my first month and was paid my $200 bonus.

I want to say a good majority of my customers that I activated/renew lines for were satisfied customers. I am going to brag about how good our store was because I worked with good people. Our guidelines was to explain to each customer throughly in what they should know (because you did not want them to comeback and make a scene for you ommitting to them something you should of told them at the time of purchase). We had to explain T-Mobile's $200 early termination fee, plus to please keep their lines active and avoid suspensions for non-payment, ect. for 180 days. If failed to do so, they will see a charge from TMS in the amount of $250 on the credit/debit card being used today. We did had to sell Digital Buyers Club (DBC) and yes it did work. During my time with TMS not a single time did I see any type of fraud I did not see: Managers stealing money, Representatives opening more than the lines desired by the customers (we were trained to convince them to do so, but not to fradulent open them), Not getting paid on missed paperwork because in order for you to carry on a sale once upgrade/lines of service was approved you would ask right away for a DL/ID of the account holder, Debit/Credit card (if the card was not in their name the owner of the Debit/Card will have to be present with their DL/ID) and we had to photocopy the DL/ID and must collect an imprint of the Debit/Credit card, The customer had to initial each paragraph we the representatives would read to them and explain literally in short terms what it meant (honestly), I never heard of returned phones coming back and selling them to customers, Prefered Debit/Credit cards over cash to cover us the representatives assets. Also if Im remembering correctly we would get paid on the 1st and 15th of every month. My time with them was from November 2005 - January 2006

After my time with TMS, I became a customer. I have a great majority of my family and friends with T-Mobile service and a lot of them went through TMS for an upgrade and a new line. I always encourage them to buy DBC upfront (later switched to Mobile Protection Plan [MPP]). What can say, yes true we did had to be on the phone line waiting for up to 40 minutes but to me it was as simply as "if I need the phone I will do it". It is not hard to go to the police station and file a lost/stolen phone or item report and fax it over to them. You will see your phone And yes FedEx to you! I cannot speak for all of those who had a bad experience working for them or being unsatisfied customers. What I can say is I enjoyed working for them, I am fair and honest and I am pleased to say that the people who I worked with and was trained by Never did I once hear of a cover-up, fraud, not getting paid. Yes this was sales and we did our best. I know that there is only a few people who like their job and do it well and I was one. My family comes first and I would not want to see them be in a fraud situation, I would not fraud another family. Therefore I and the people that I worked with (and to my knowledge) did not commit any type of fraud. We were honest and competative workers.

If TMS is indeed guilty of all of the things its been accused of I would not know, because all I know is all I know, I worked for a great company and with good people.
