Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

In early 2013, I heard the owner of on Bob McCormic's talk show, KFI 980.  It just so happen I got a moving violation, so I listened.  Steve sounded like the typical sales bag pushing his business, but was open to listening since I felt Bob McCormick held a pretty good show offering good advice and tips and was open to listening to the show.  

I did some research on line and decided to give them a call.  (I had never done anything like this before, but decided to give this place a chance).  After I got the pitch and asking all the questions I could think of, I was surprised I was askedf or payment upfront, BEFORE they even got my paperwork. When I asked about the refund policy, they said that wouldn't be an issue (note, this was promised to me over the phone ...). For the most part, the call went well, so I gave them my payment information.

Within 24 hrs., i didn't feel I made the right decision, so I immediately called to cancel the request.  I was put through to speak with manager Melissa, who initially said she would process the refund, put me on hold, then told me a refund wasn't possible and that this was their policy.  I was also told if I had any doubt, I could look their policy up on their website in the fine print.

I don't need to go into further detail of how incredibly disappointed I was that this sleazy place got $250 of my money.  I may as well have thrown it down a toilet.  I called 4 times to speak with d****e back Steve Miller, but he was never available.  Towards the end of the call, manager Melissa told me, "it's your loss.  You're not getting your money back. We've already processed it.  Get over it." and hung up the phone.  Yes, a class act for a scam outfit that I'm sure hits up several hundred suckers a day.  

So lessons learned, when asking about a guarantee and/or refund policy, don't go by what you are told over verbally, rather put on your spectacles and read the fine print that is documented online or in any other written form.  d****e bags like Steve Miller and Melissa (who refused to give her last name) are out there collecting and living high on such scams.
