I had just purchased my car a 2005 sebring early 2012, and took it Tires Plus the days after I had brought it home, I asked them to check everything on the car, I was aware the car need minor work, a tune up, tires, etc. They advised me that they flushed the radiator and did other things, when I got the car back the next day on my way to work the car overheated and cut off on me, just so happen a mechanic stopped to help me and saw residue all over the inside of the hood and recognize it, he said that someone apparently put some type of head gasket sealant as a temporary fix, then I realized that tires plus flushed the radiator causing the car to over heat, I feel they should have also recognized the same thing which is the reason I brought it to them in the first place. I took the car back to Tires Plus it took 4 hours to get there, they kept the car over night and called me in the morning saying it had blown a head gasket, I told them what the mechanic had said about the sealant they disregarded my comment, so I figured it was going to have to be fixed anyway and just told them to fix everything that may be involved with the car overheating, when I got the car back, about 10 days later I had several issues with the car, it started making loud noises, running very rough, every time I took it back they said they can't find anything wrong with it, so after about 4-5 months the car started leaking then overheating again, I called Tires Plus and told them, eventually I took the car back to them after it started cutting because they kept telling me they can't find nothing wrong, this time all they had the car back there for a hour or more and said they still don't see what was wrong with it, I was told they have to actually see the car overheating for them to know why it is doing so, the next day the car completely cut off on me on my way to work, I had it towed to another shop that was recommended by triple a, and met with the owner of the shop there, I was told that the car doesn't look like it ever had a head gasket replaced at all, if they did repair it, they definitely did not do it right, but since it was under warranty I had it towed back but to the closest Tires Plus location, the car set there for almost 3 weeks no one was calling me back, I kept calling speaking with the manager Dave, he said they were waiting on a claims adjuster to come from out of town... 3 weeks? mean while were spending 2-3 hundred dollars in rental car expense a week..So then I called consumer reports for Tires Plus and the representative said the insurance adjuster had called me several times I know he never called me, turns out someone gave the adjuster the wrong phone number to reach me..everytime I called tires plus after 5pm I left my phone number with them! I got the number to the claim adjuster and called him, that is when I was told that they will not honor the warranty because the water pump was leaking, my friend told me they would try to get out of fixing the car with this little maneuver, So I had the car towed back to the shop that told me the head gasket was not done or not done properly in the first place, I certainly will never ever give Tires Plus another nickel, when my 2nd opinion car repair shop got the car back they looked at it, and said the car was in fact in a "worst condition" then what it was when it left there shop the first time to go to Tires Plus!!, he said now the engine is completely locked up and there is so much water and oil in one part of the cylinders that it is filled all the way up to the valves, he also said you can tell that either someone had been driving the car or had the car running for long periods of time. I made a mistake by trusted Tires Plus, I am a female and have been told by several people that they really just took advantage of me assuming I would not do something about it, I think there should be a national law suit against Tires Plus, someone is going to uncover Tires Plus poor work ethics, bad customer service, and rip off tactics concerning keeping there end of the bargain when it comes to their warranties..
