Similar to all the other reports about turtleshack.com I as well have had a very bad eperience with them. On February 19, 2015 I ordered a Baby red ear slider as a gift. Within 24 hours i received an email from TurtleShack explaining to me that in order to in ensure a healthy turtle I would have to upgrade the shipping to air which would cost me an additional $25.00 on top of the $32.34 that I aleady paid several hours prior when I initially placed the order.

So, I proceeded to upgrade shipping to ensure I would receive the healthy baby turtle by the special occasion date needed.

February 25, 2015 I received an email stating my turtle was shipped.

Several days later (I do not have exact date on my cell phone, it is in my paperwork) I received my turtle and as my boyfriend opened up the container we noticed it wasn not the correct type of turtle I ordered at all. They sent us a Yellow Belly Slider instead of the Red Ear Slider that  I ordered. All of the emails I received from them prior to the dat I received my turtle stated the order was for a Red Ear Slider baby.

The daywe received our turtle I attempted to contact turtle shack via email as well as phone and did not receive anything back. Over the course of about five months I attempted to contact Turtle Shack, even left numorous voicemails, and still, nothing. I was not looking for my money back, I was simply trying to figure out how to get the correct turtle that I paid for.

Several months went by of no replies or answered phone calls and on July 14, 2015 I decided to visit the website to see if any information has changed. I placed one Turtle in the shopping cart, but never checked out. I received a email the same day from Turtle Shack stating things like, "We noticed you still have one item in a shopping cart that has not been placed for order. We were wodering what changed your mind etc. etc."

I replied to the email again expressing what my situation was and again, no response.

It is now September 20, 2015 still no response to numorous emails, no answers and no calls back to several voicemails I left. My boyfriend decided it was time we purchased another turtle so I got curious and looked up TurtleShack.com but could no longer find the website. The site is not completely down, but it is now redirecting you to different links to different turtle websites which I find very odd.

We decided to order a few Baby Red Ear sliders from a different website, hopefully we do not have any issues this time.
