UMR United Healthcare This company is absolutely rude and lies to the insured regarding claims Internet

Our company uses UMR as a TPA for our UHC group insurance. We pay our premium just as everyone else does in our group. We also have an FSA through my employer which we try to utilize.

EVERY claim has been denied, office visits to our PCP, eye doctor, you name it, they deny it.

They apparently make their revenue by doing much of nothing. We use the FSA debit card to go to the doctor, what do they do? Send us a request for debit card documentation. Duh? We used it at a doctors office. This company is a rip off. They put the entire burden on the patient.

We are trying to figure out what it is exactly, that we pay premiums for?My company is also not helpful in the matter. It seems our HR is in bed with UMR. They do nothing to advocate for employees.

This has caused us unlanned fiscal stress. They are not paying the physicians hence we get a bill from our health care provider.

The last bill I went ahead and paid because our doctor's office started calling saying they would take us to collections and deny us medical service if we did not pay. We pay it. In fact I paid with my FSA.

A month later we get a check back from the physician for the amount we paid. Then we get another request for debit card documentation. It is rather apparent that UMR is simply lazy.

Asking us for the EOB, when they have the EOB. Wasting important and valuable time.

This is the worst health insurance we have ever had. We've had UHC previously and had no issues. We've had other carriers and never experienced problems like this.

UMR is the worst. They go as far as to lie as well. I called on the same issue 3 times in one day and received 3 different answers before finally finding out the facts.

Horrible. We will share this with everyone we know in business. I am also going to put a video on YouTube and a page on FB and Twitter in regards to this foul company.
