twice this month alone have had problem with ups
seems they have no accountability or standards there at all just prepared non answers and waste your time making excuses
had a package sent to me that did not i repeat did not require a signature to be delivered as conformed by the shipper and ups itself ( i.e. no signature required key word here)
so day of delivery comes no package note left on door claiming i must sign for it ( what part of no signature did they not understand) hmmm i thought so i called them asked what problem was
summary as follows
after wasting over 4 hours on phone with them talking to various people and 2 supervisors ( last package alone not first one) i was told that its up to the "drivers discretion" if he leaves a package or not, and i must sign there form to have it left ( note the must sign ) and some excuse about security
my place is not visable from the road so nobody can walk by see the package and think about taking it apparently the driver needs glasses or an eye exam also
so after having my time wasted i stuck there notice back on door signed on back for that item that didnt need to be signed for (contradictory aint it?)
so friday (next door) arrives expecting that they will leave the package this time as i did there stupid request
not left just another note
so lets recap shall we a package that doesnt require a signature must be signed for?
a signed formed left by ups that they demand i do and still not left?
hours wasted on phone with them and nobody there seems to have a clue what they are doing or any accountability
i find this beyond disturbing and unacceptable
as a public traded company that alledgedly answers to share holders and depends on customers who actaully pay them for a service they fail to do i question what there purpose is if they fail to do basic things

The complaint is shortsighted.

Neither does not requesting a signature by the sender override occasional mandatory signature requirements, nor doe signing and printing your name on the tag mandate that the package be left. The carrier may have had complaints about left in your area that the waiving of signatures will not prevent. Any carrier subjected to the same situation would handle your package in the same manner.
All carriers receive significant complants when leaving packages as the proper address without signatures. Even when GPS coordinated show the door it was left at, people still blame the carrier. The vast majority are from irrational people or fraud cases.

so let me get this straight you claim i'm a fool cause i expect better from a company that waste my time?
you evidently did not see the part where i stated i had there 1st noticed signed on door as they demanded item not left only got a second notice as they took 1st notice off door (what part of that did you not understand?)
so you find it acceptable that a comapny has now twice failed to do there job?
you find it acceptable that they fail to answe any question(s) only come up with excuses and waste my time?
perhaps your life has such low standards anything would be an improvement

I don't know why you didn't get the package left the second time, but you are WRONG in the rest of your rant.
You were NOT asked to sign FOR the package, but sign to authorize them to leave it if you're not home. There is a big difference. They are trying to protect YOU and themselves from theft and fraud. Get over yourself. After reading your entire, lengthy rant, I doubt you'l comprehend this. I have used UPS for years buying and selling on e-bay and no problems to date. Then, again, maybe I'm not a FOOL.
Just a thought...maybe they'll NOT leave it a third time because you're such a Jacka**.
