Virgin Mobile Broadband to Go - will rip you off!!!! Said my plan was unlimited - 6G will be more than you need. Shorting me 2G on the 6G - Now want more money Nationwide USA

I need access to the internet from my truck as I am driving around all day for work. I went to a Virgin provider and they told me they had a device for $120.00 with unlimited internet for $55 a month. I asked them is it really unlimited and they told me no, but it included 6G which would be more than I could use in a month.

I was a little naive in the fact that I had no idea how many megabytes I would need and so I had to take their word for it that 6G would be enough.

After only 2 days, they say I have used 1235MB which is a little more than 1 Gigabyte. Obviosly 6 Gigabytes will be grossly insufficient, and I did not even use it extensively. In addition, my account is showing 3225 MB remaining. So obviously they are not giving me the full 6 Gigabytes. At this rate my unlimited is going to run out in a week. This is what I was afraid of, but as said, I was naive and they took advantage of me assuring me that it would be sufficient.

If what they are saying is correct and I only have 3225 MB remaining, that will be 4.3 Gigabytes as 1 GB = 1024 MB. That is 1.7 GB short. When I asked them what happened if I ran out they assured me I could pay another $55 to get another 6GB. At that rate I would minimally be paying $220 a month for a service I thought would cost me $55 a month. If this data was so expensive there would not be free "hotspots" at restaurants and coffee houses. They are simply ripping people off!!!

I may be wrong on this, but I have always associated the Virgin name with Sir Richard Branson, one of the world's richest billionaires, and I believe this is one of his companies. Please someone correct me if I am wrong. I assumed that one of his companies would be run well and provide value, but this experience has soiled his good name in my mind. If it is one of his companies, then shame on him for allowing everyday people to be ripped off in such a manner. I have always admired him as someone to look up to, but if you are ripping people off, what good is all that money, because you didn't earn it. I do not know if he has sold the name to other shucksters, and if he has then I take it back, but he must realize his name is associated with Virgin.
