Virgin Mobile illegally charged my bank account for 5 months after I canceled service Warren New Jersey
I had Broadband to go with Virgin Mobile for approximately 2 years with minimal problems .My payments were automatically deducted each month by debit card, processed through the Visa network. Starting in August 2013 I started having problems connecting to the internet. After numerous calls during September, to tech support, I was told there was no coverage in my area
On October 4th 2013 I switched to Verizon Wireless. I called and cancelled my account with Virgin Mobile at approx. 6:00P.M. on October 4th 2013.
On February 8th,2014 while reviewing my bank statements, I noticed that I had been charged $20.00 on the 29th or 30th of each month for the previous 5 months(Oct, Nov,Dec. 2013 Jan. & Feb. 2014). In December this charge also resulted in an overdraft fee charge of $36.00
On this day,(February 8th 2014), I immediately called Virgin Mobile and spoke with Austin, who said they showed no record of any payments being made during those months. H asked me to hold while he transferred me to the broadband support department. Of course, then, I was immediately disconnected.
