What have the people of west Texas done to Wells Fargo Dealer Services?  I noticed a woman in the next town over reporting here on May 19th having the same issue we're having!

Each morning around 8:45am, our phone rings. Since my husband and I both work nights, this is highly irritating. When we answer, it's the robotic call from Wells Fargo Dealer Services telling us we owe them money. We've never had an account with them, nor do we owe any money for any auto loan.

This has been happening for over four months. I have sat patiently on the phone for upwards of 30 minutes to speak with a customer service rep dozens of times, only to be laughed at, mocked, and otherwise insulted. Yesterday was my breaking point, when the call came and I had only had two hours' sleep.

I called back and spoke with a very rude CS rep named Santos, who then begrudginly connected me to his supervisor, Allison. I hope they both appreciate their names in print, as they laughed at me when I told them it was about to happen. When they ignored my claims for this harassment to stop, I took it up the ladder to Ancel Martinez at 415-222-3858. He's the Corporate Media Relations and Legal contact listed on the website. I informed Ancel of the situation, and told him I am a writer for a living. My goal is to now reach out to all people who have been falsely harassed by this company. Ancel responded to my call, issued an "apology," and agreed that his company was in the wrong. He asked for a few hours to resolve this situation, and promised a return call later that day. I did not receive the return call; and at 8:45am this morning, our phone rang from Wells Fargo Dealer Services telling us we owe them money.

The name of my organization is Missing Persons News. Reach out to us. Tell us your story, so we can hit Wells Fargo where it hurts: their reputation. Since Ancel admitted his company was contacting households without accounts (and who happen to be on the "Do Not Call" list, he inadvertently opened up his company to a class-action lawsuit. I will file one if it gets my phone to stop ringing.
