Windstream Communications WIndstream Fraud in sale of Internet service Little Rock, Arkansas

Relying on Windstream's claims about the speed of their DSL Internet service, I signed up in 2011.  The service provided turned out to be a fraction of the speed promised  AND it would simply disappear from time to time - no service.  

After a number of calls, and hours waiting on line, it was admitted by Windstream's representatives that the facilities serving my area were in adequate to serve the ever-increasing number of customers at the speeds promised or even to provide reliable service.  The label for inadequate capacity was "latency."  Windstream knew this when they entered in the contract for service - knew their representations were false. That's "fraud."

And they were continuously soliciting even more customers to be served by those admittedly inadequate facilities.  (That behavior continues to this day.  Google and see.)

That was 2011.  All the same problems persist today in April, 2013.  Windstream told me yesterday that there will be nothing done to correct the breaches of contract in 2013.  When?  No answer. Also no credit because they say there is no separate economic value to the service being paid for but not provided.  

Call the Ohio AG's Office.  Tell them your story.  Mention Ohio Revised Code 1345.02 and ask that the State sue Windtream.   Contact your State Rep and State Senator.  Show them we are not powerless.
