I found www.k2incense.org through Google and figured since it was the top search result it must be pretty popular.  I placed my order for $49.95 by filling out the credit card and address info.  When I clicked Submit, the next page had a "receipt" with the following message at the top:

"If the Bank Response indicates the transaction was Declined or is Blank, your card was not charged."

Well what do you know, the Bank Response field was blank!  That's pretty hard to believe considering my bank is one of the largest in the country.

So now these crooks have all the info they need to make purchases in my name.  How convenient!  I sent an email to sales@k2incense.org but received no response.  There was no other contact info on the site.

I would LOVE it if the site owner would just reply to me and say "hey, our mistake, we'll process your order right away!"  In that case I will apologize for calling you guys crooks.

Fraudster is just lying at this point

AUTHOR: jaguar717 - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, December 12, 2009

Give him your info if you want, but I'm completely convinced this is a phishing website at this point.  The fraudster is now posting responses claiming that everyone he's ripped off is just a bitter "competitor".  I don't own a website, much less "compete" with his scam, so he's just flat out lying.

He's taken my credit card info and who knows how many others'.  There is no actual product, it's just a big scam.  Tread carefully.

LIBEL SUBMITTED BY A COMPETITOR

AUTHOR: Allegrand - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 11, 2009

This report as well as any other "report" about my business is nothing, but LIBEL submitted by a bitter competitor.

Offering the highest quality products in the industry at the lowest prices angers all of my competitors and they can do nothing, but post lies about my business all day.

Sad, but there isn't much I can do about that.  Ripoffreport.com is the perfect platform for competitor sabotage.

And for anyone, who might still have the slightest doubts about my business, you can check with the K2 Supplier: http://www.k2wholesale.com/distributors/ I'm one of only 3 so far Authorized Online K2 retailers.

I got ripped off too!

AUTHOR: jaguar717 - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Almost the same scenario happened to me and I came across this post which has convinced me 100% that it's a phishing scam!

Here's my report:

At least with the Nigerian emails you can tell it's fraud by the broken English.

Changed credit card number, no more worries.

AUTHOR: astrowill - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2009

I don't know why the above response says "update by author" as I am the original author of this report.  I called my bank and told them I thought I had been the victim of a phishing scam.  They checked their records and found two other reports against the company and immediately sent me a new card.  It was a hassle, but I'm glad it's over.

Received Product!

AUTHOR: DorcotBaconPhD - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2009

As I said earlier in a report that I put a 70$ order through and was waiting on my product, I now say with pleasure that I received my product a little later than I hoped, but I would say most likely that it was not his fault. The product weighed exactly as I ordered and I would happily order more in the future.

From,
 A happy customer

P.S I am confused, however, about the mix-up between two people (myself and another) and the reaction to it. People make mistakes, and I got my product, so no hard feelings.

ALL FALSE REPORTS SUBMITTED BY A BITTER COMPETITOR

AUTHOR: Allegrand - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 04, 2009

All those are false reports submitted by a bitter competitor including the last one.  I already know who it is, but have been advised by my attorney to not disclose the name.  This issue will now be left for the courts to decide.

I've no time for this nonsense.

No Mr. Allegrand, you've got it mixed up!

AUTHOR: Inspector - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 04, 2009

The postings you quoted are from two seperate individuals.  The last update from the author indicates He did not hear from you.

I can understand why things get mixed up in your company if you cannot understand something as simple as this.

By the way, I am not a competetor.  I don't even know what your company sells.

THIS REPORT WAS WRITTEN BY A COMPETITOR

AUTHOR: Allegrand - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 04, 2009
He first writes:

"I just placed an order last night for $70 and my card went through. It didn't before, but in an e-mail conversation with someone from the company, it was about different addresses for billing and shipping and the names involved. I tried again hoping the best for it, and the card went through. I will respond to this at a later time to give a thumbs up or down for it. At least they returned an e-mail."

And later he writes, "I am still waiting for a response to my email.  I have just now sent another copy of the email to sales@k2incense.org just in case.  As far as resubmitting my order, I would be more than happy to do so once I receive a reply from the company instructing me to do so.  Thus far I have no reason to believe that this company wants my business."

Obviously this is a competitor trying to damage our reputation, but got caught up in his own lies.

So first he says he received a reply, and later he says he hasn't and is still waiting?!

First he says he DID resubmit the order and it went through, then a day later he writes he would be more than happy to resubmit his order once he receives a reply.

Either a bitter competitor or a psychotic customer.  Either way, anyone reading this ridiculous report would realize this is all a bunch of nonsense.

I'm done wasting my time with this idiot.

THIS SITE IS AS LEGIT AS IT GETS!

AUTHOR: Allegrand - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 03, 2009

It's unfortunate, this person would resort to Rip Off Report, rather than try harder to resolve the issue with us, what's worse is, he's making claims based on assumptions.  We ALWAYS reply to each and every email, apparently he wasn't patient enough to wait for the reply.

We have the strictest credit card processing settings of just about any company on the web, and if the billing information isn't EXACTLY as it's supposed to be, the payment will be rejected.  This has afforded us a stellar reputation with our credit card processing company with ZERO disputes or charge backs, but while all fraudulent transactions are rejected, in the mix fall some legitimate ones, as is the example with this person.  All they have to do is reenter their information, as this person did and the charge WILL go through.

Anyway, apparently this issue has been resolved.

PEOPLE, DON'T SUBMIT THOSE REPORTS UNLESS, YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY SURE WHAT YOU'RE WRITING IS CORRECT!  You're jeopardizing honest business people's reputation with your impatience and paranoia.

Best,

Al, owner
