Here is a copy of the letter I faxed after using their service for two months.  There has been no response, and I still have their countertop terminal.  If I could sell it, I'd be ahead.

Here are my problems with your service:
1. There are no fees and no surprises when you get your statement
A. The first $12.95 GAA monthly access fee was a surprise
B. The PCI protection fee of $99.00 was a surprise
C. The $8.95 monthly debit access fee was a surprise
D. The VISA assessment of 0.95% was a surprise
E. The Mastercard assessment of 0.95% was a surprise

2. We will flat out GIVE you a new state-of-the-art point of sale terminal, FREE of charge These terminals are worth over $300, our gift to you as a client of Commerce Payment Systems
The FREE gift Verifone VX570 Terminal will cost me $695 if not returned in working order within 10 days of termination.

3. What this means to you is quick access to expert customer service assistance (not left on hold or talking to a service rep that has no clue about your business.)
In reality, I could rarely get through to customer service, the hold time being interminable. Once, after being the 2nd caller in line for 20 minutes, I became the 3rd caller in line.
Therefore, I am terminating our agreement as of today. I will more than keep my half of the bargain by returning the free gift Verifone terminal immediately upon your remedying your unkept promises:

1. Send me a check for the $99.00 protection fee, $26.85 for 3 debit access fees, $30.70 in VISA/Mastercard assessments, and the first month free $12.95 GAA access fee, for a total of $149.50. My account is closed, so it will have to be a check to me at the address above.

2. With the check, send me a postpaid, insured label for the Verifone return.
