My wife and I also "purchased" a home through AAC, and didn't realize how crooked they were till we went to file our tax returns this year. John Cohn told us at the closing that we would be able to claim our property taxes, and loan interest, and get that money back upon filing. When we did file, the recorder's office AND the IRS told us that the "1098" form that AAC sent to us, was illegal due to the fact that they never changed anything over at the recorders office. We have done quite a bit of work to the house, and invested a lot of money into AAC's pockets. If anyone else if having any kind of problems with this decietful company, please post it. We have turned all of our paperwork over to my lawyers, and they would like to talk to anyone else that might be getting the shaft from these people. Please email my name at aol.com

I also wanted to inform people that when they "buy" a home from AAC, they want you to open a bank account with the specific bank that "works with" their customers for refinancing. This bank is local, and the owner of AAC, Paul, is on the board of this bank, and they will refuse to refi you when the time is up that they allow you to do this. Therefore they force you to keep paying way more than you should be paying, and won't allow an outside instituion to refinance your home. It is all a big scam, and very expensive!!!
