I was contacted at my place of employment about a student loan, and my employer was also contacted about this loan, several times. These actions are illegal -violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. 1692 et seq. (FDCPA).

I hired a lawyer and settled out of court. I received several thousand dollars, and one of the terms of the settlement is that I am free to publicize Account Control Technology's illegal activities. These activities are violations of Federal Law, but they are highly profitable, and so Account Control Technology and other collection agencies use them against law-abiding Americans.

I have posted the legal case my lawyer filed on my website (((ROR REDACTED INFO FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))
along with links to some lawyers who understand this law, and seem to be reputable.

There is NO Debt

AUTHOR: Roger - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 19, 2013

If this was a fair debt, I would have no problem in paying my bills.

This debt was created out of thin air, with no collateral being posted.  It is FIAT currency.

If this were not the case the op would not have won his legal case!!

When they start to give out personal info that puts them in the wrong. You wouldn't want anyone telling your business to people that you don't want to know. I work in collections and have to follow the laws just like everyone else does.
I'm sure that person knows they have to pay their bills, and that wasn't about getting a hand out, it was about stating what was wrong.

PAY UR BILLS

AUTHOR: STOPCRYING - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 25, 2012

Here's an idea, all the money you paid for that lawyer could have went to paying back your student loans. Quit crying and looking for a handout. We all have it bad and millions of Americans still pay on their loans. If you don't like being called at work then the answer is simple; PAY YOUR BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
