On Feb 22rd of 2015, I was going through the ads on Craigslist.org searching for a mover to move some Furniture items for me. I came across the ad for Affordable Movers. I sent a email to Affordable movers requesting their rates. They responded by email on Feb 23th of 2015 Affordable movers resonded with the rate of $250.00 I email them back and informded them that my budget were $180.00.
They agreed to do the move for the $180.00. We made plans to do the move on Feb 24 th of 2015. The furniture was being moved from one house to my house. They were to move a big screen 60 inch TV, and an 37 inch TV, two printers, and an entertainment center.
they arrived at the first location around 4;30 pm they lord the above items and were given an $45.00 deposit the balace of $175.00 they were to collect at the drop of location which is where I were to meet them.
30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL, i LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOUSE. I phoned affordable movers and informed them that I had to go to my roomate place of employment to pick up his keys. They texted me back and said that they were not going to wait and that they were going to keep my furniture.
Which they did. I pleded with then over and over and the owner just laughed over the phone and told me that he had gave away my furniture. I had sent over 200 texts to affordable movers and they refuse to respond. or tell me where my furniture were. And, they kept the deposit of $45.00

iN YOUR RESPONSE you try to justified your company by mentioning that the furniture were given to me for free, Why does this matter how I received the furniture and under what terms that I received the furniture. What matters is that this were my furniture and that I had hire your company to move your furniture.
2. You mention that the gentelman gave you $40.00 just to have you get ride of the furniture. The true fact is that he gave you the $40.00 on my behalf as a deposit. And, why does this matter.
3. Then you mention that you were 5 minutes away from the house when you were notifide that I had locked my keys out of the house but you told me that you were 30 minutes away.
4. then you mention that you did not what to delivery the furniture at night. But you sent me a text indicating that you had another move after mines which would had been night. And, since you made the choice not to delivery at night (First time that I heard this) then you had the opporgation to delivery the furniture in the morning.
5. You told me that you had gotten ride of the furniture and refuse to tell me where ot what you did with the furniture. Then the next day you tried to black me and told me to give you another $100.00 and I can come and get my furniture.
6. I am going to attemp to attach all of the emails to show that you are nothing bout a lier. And no matter what you say you do not as a exprence and professional moving company keep some one things for your personal use. And, I learn that you do not have licenses. There is just no excuse for your actions which are consider to be vile and brutal.
And, when I asked you to delivery my furniture you said 'f*** you " (((Redacted))), then you told me to (((Redacted))), you said had you knew that I lived in the hood that you would had never accepted the assignment. I have all of the texts if any one would like to revie the texts email me at (((Redacted)))and I would provide you with these texts which includes the dates and the time of each conversation. I am also working on a civil complaint which I will be filing this monday.

The reason I am even answering to this is because my company is an honest business. I have a reputation of satisfaction with my costumers. I do not steal and have to need to steal. I feel like there is a need for me to explain the story because I don't want people thinking I do such thing as stealing. You called me because you said that 2 companies had already let you down and we agreed to $180 for me to deliver furniture from Rochester to Detroit.
The furniture that you were going to be getting for free from the gentleman that was donating the furniture to you. He was willing to give me a deposit of $40 because he did not want the furniture anymore, he needed them out as soon as possible. You asked me to give you a call as soon as I picked up the furniture, which I did.
When I was about 5 minutes away from your house, you told me that you were locked out of your house. You said you would be going to your roomates job and it would take you about an hour to get the keys. After I waited you about 15 minutes you said to hold the furniture until 9pm until your roomate could get home from work. At that point I could not wait any longer because I had another job, I don't know you and I was not going to risk myself going to drop your furniture off at night.
I offered to drop off the furniture in your porch or garage if you had one, but you told me not to go anymore, and then you changed your mind and said you would leave a check. I was suspicious because you first said it would take you an hour to come back but all of the sudden you weren't going to be there. I don't take checks because a lot of times they bounce. At that point I didn't know what to do because I had a truck full of furniture and no where to leave them. YOU told me I could donate them and you said "thanks for your help." and that you were not going to worry about it. Since i had another job to do I donated them.
There is no need for me to take furniture from anyone, I didn't keep one single thing, I did as you said. I called you and texted you telling you that I would take the furniture back from the person I donated them to if you were willing to come and pick them up yourself. I don't want you doing the same to other movers and having me stuck with furniture I don't need. I told you I would charge you for me having me hold onto the furniture. I did not steal from anyone. The 40 dollars that the person who was going to give you the furniture was used to put gas in my truck for making me go to your house. If we are talking about stealing, you were the one who stole from me. You stole my time, and the money I payed my employee.
The 200 texts you sent were pointless texts, and threats which I obviously wasn't going to respond to. I am not going to lose my sleep texting you back at 4 or 5 in the morning.
I have proof of this entire conversation. You can go ahead and follow through with your threats if you have a lawyer and can afford it. I have an honest business and I am prepared for these kinds of situations.
