AFLAC is a rip-off, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE unless you fully understand the consequences. I have only filed small doctors visit claims. Don't get me wrong I just wanted to cancel my policy because I cannot afford the premiums, almost $70.00 a month. After I spent 45 minutes listening to automated options on their telephone service I finally got a real human. She then transferred me to another number so again waited another 10 minutes.
This is normal for this company. (You better have patients with them or you'll go nuts. Try to get a claim form. Do not request more them one claim at a time. You only receive one claim form at a time. Then they want blood samples to get more then one).
I told the representative to cancel my policy. She told me I had to put it in writing and send it to their company. I was not advised of this when I signed up. She told me this was in written in the policy book. It is not, I have read this policy manual line by line. It has nothing about cancellation of policy.
I have my policy books for the record.
I have sent them claim forms for medical claims. I get $15.00 for a doctor's visit. (for ALL claims) I'm not sure where the benefit comes in. You only receive 6 claims a year. If you have a large family as I do it's not going to last a year.
Try to navigate their website. This is another joke. I tried to print a claim form from the website. Again try to find it. This company is about the run-around. I guarantee they will get theirs long before you get yours.
If you don't believe what I have written please navigate their website and call them to get information concerning a policy. When you get soaked for several hundred dollars then remember I told you so. Be very cautious.

SOUNDS LIKE THE TYPE OF COVERAGE YOU WANT YOU CAN GET FROM ANTHEM OR OPTIMA UNFORTUNATLY THOUGH $70 A MONTH IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU'LL PAY ANYWHERE! UNLESS YOU SIGN-UP FOR INSURANCE THROUGH YOUR EMPLOYER YOU CAN USUALLY GET A DEAL OF LIKE 20 A MONTH, MOST BUSINESSES HOWEVER USE AFLAC BECAUSE IT IS A KNOWN FACT THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY. IT IS ALSO UNIVERSAL THAT WITH ANY AND I MEAN ANY AND ALL COMPANIES WHEN YOU CANCEL YOU HAVE TO WRITE A WRITTEN REQUEST TO CANCEL THIS IS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL WAY TO HANDLE BUSINESS. GOOD LUCK!

When you buy insurance you don't HOPE to file claims - AFLAC helps people in times of need - there are policies that have some smaller benefits - like helping with co-pays - but with true insurance you get paid big when something really bad happens - why would you want that to happen.
The previous rebuttal is so true - the person slandering AFLAC can submit a complaint on this website but can't make two clicks on AFLAC's website and get a claim form? hmmmmm.....

Read before you sign...

You signed a Salary Redirection Agreement (if your employer is taking deductions from your check for the premium). You can request a copy of your signed form from your Benefits Administrator...it states your policy is locked in until open enrollment.
Let's be real for a moment...you had to sign for the policy being issued so what makes you think you don't have to sign to cancel it. If that was the case, with identity theft like it is today, someone could send in a cancellation request for your policy that they typed up, Aflac cancels your policy and you have a $10,000 claim situation...what do you think would happen then??
Come on, getting a claim form on the site is as simple as clicking "get a claim form" and clicking on your state, then the type of form you need. Even the elderly do it with ease. There is never anything difficult about requesting a claim form from the 800 # nor the website so I'm not sure what you're talking about there.
If you read the policy line by line, you would know
1. Aflac is supplemental insurance
2. Benefit amounts are set based on the exact verbiage of the policy manual
And fact being fact, if you only filed "small doctor's visit claims" you would know (since you read the policy manual line by line) exactly what the benefit is for those visits.. sounds to me like you are expecting a larger payout than what you are actually filing for.

Craig, AFLAC is a SUPPLEMENTAL plan!

AFLAC is NOT a primary health plan. That is clearly stated.
I had AFLAC for a long time, and never had a problem. They are the best rated plan of its type.
AFLAC has several different plans and several different riders. You should go to the website and do your homework first before buying something from a sales person.
You would be hard pressed to find supplemental plans better than AFLAC.
Dollar for Dollar comparison that is.
