I too have been ripped off by this company. I've been contracted to teach for them for almost 2 years and have had at least a dozen issues with payments. Their latest lie is that they're having trouble because of "the economy." That doesn't explain why I had so much trouble getting money out of them in 2007 and the first half of 2008.

They currently owe me $655 but that number grows daily because last year I implemented a late payment fee because they never paid me. It's a simple charge of $5 per day per student that I haven't been paid for after 7 days from when I billed them. I'm well within my rights as an independent to have such a protection policy. Crooks like this are the reason for policies like that.
