America Geeks Anti-VirusNotInstalled, Bogus  Internet

on may 30, 2018 my coumputer froze up and gave me a contact number to call (americangeeks). I was told I needed an anti-virus software program installed on my new computer. i was charged $699.00. i began experiencing problems with me computer days later and when i couldn't get in touch with americageeks, i called a MicroSoft representative (oneamerica), who informed me that this company was on the scam list.

i reported this to my bank and supposedly $699.00 will be credited to my account in the a.m. (june 5, 2018).

this is a 1st time for me, so therefore, i've learned to cross reference the company b4 transacting any business with them. i honestly thought they were legit because the company's number popped up immediately after my computer froze up due to a virus and the company number to call.
