American Voice Mail ripoff
*REBUTTAL Individual responds: Paige Doyle Was Never A Customer of American Voice Mail
People calling into my home phone would get a message that sounded like a .com address. After contacting the phone company, I was notified of a service installed by Curtis at American Voice Mail without my consent. I was charged $9.06 for a service charge, 1 month of service, and a prorated service charge.
I contacted American Voice Mail twice, and have requested a refund but to no avail. I know that is a very small amount, but, this kind of business cannot continue. I don't know how many others are being taken advantage of, but I hope that you can put a stop to this. Sincerely, Paige Doyel

#1 REBUTTAL Individual responds
Paige Doyle Was Never A Customer of American Voice Mail
AUTHOR: Curtis - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, April 02, 2003
This person entered an on-line subscription to Pagoo, an Internet call waiting provider.
Call Forwarding is required to make that service work.
Pagoo had hired American Voice Mail to expedite their Call Forwarding orders with the various telephone companies across the country.
I explained this to Paige Doyle when she called, and referred her to Pagoo.
Voice mail does not answer one's phone with a "dot.com address". It answers with a personal greeting.
Paige Doyle was never a customer of American Voice Mail. She never paid any money to American Voice Mail. She never received a bill from American Voice Mail. American Voice Mail does not now, nor has it ever, billed its subscribers on their telephone bill.
Instead of arguing with me, if she had done as I suggested, her compaint would have been resolved by Pagoo.
As this complaint is entirely without merit, and serves serves only to disparage a quality company that prides itself on its client relations, I request that this untrue report be removed.
