I REFINANCED THROUGH AMERIQUEST BACK IN 2003. THEY CONVINCED ME TO GO WITH A 2 YEAR FIXED MORTGAGE SO I COULD PAY OFF OTHER BILLS AND HAVE LOWER PAYMENT AND THAT WOULD FIX MY CREDIT RATING SO I COULD GET A GOOD RATE WHEN I REFINANCED IN 2 YEARS FOR A 30-YR FIXED.
WELL 2 YEARS WENT BY I CALLED AMERIQUEST TO REFI AND THERES A PROBLEM WHEN THEY DID THE ORIGINAL REFINANCE THEY APPRAISED MY HOME AT 95,000 WELL 2 YEARS LATER THE APPRAISAL COMES IN AT 78000. THEY WILL NOT REFINANCE. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY INTEREST RATE WILL BE 10.75% AS OF 9-1-06. MY PAYMENT HAS GONE FROM 453.00 UP TO OVER 800.00. WHEN INQUIRING ABOUT MY FIRST APPRAISAL I WAS TOLD IT WAS A VERBAL APPRAISAL DONE BY J& J APPRAISAL- JOHN DUNN.
THEY ALSO INFLATED MY INCOME AND SAID I HAD A DIFFERENT JOB THAT I DONT AND NEVER DID HAVE.
ALSO WHEN I REFI THE FIRST TIME I PAID 6000.00 IN CLOSING COSTS AND THE PERSON I DEALT WITH ADVISED IF I REFINANCED WITH THEM IN 2 YEARS MY CLOSING COST WOULD ONLY BE ABOUT 1000.00 WELL WHEN I TRIED TO REFI THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME ABOUT 4000.00.
I'M NOT BEHIND IN PAYMENTS NOR WAS I EVER BUT WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? THEY TOLD ME AS LONG AS I STAY CURRENT MY INTEREST RATE WOULDNT GO UP. I HAVE BEEN ON TIME AND CURRENT? IT GOES UP EVERY 3 MONTHS.

THERE IS NO EQUITY IN MY HOME. THE NEW APPRAISAL CAME IN AT 78000. THATS HOW MUCH I OWE. THE ORIGINAL APPRAISAL WAS SUPPOSEDLY 108000.

How much do you owe on the mortgage? You still may be able to lower your payment depending on the equity you have. I work for a mortgage company in Clinton Township and may be able to help.

I AM LOOKING FOR AN ATTORNEY THAT KNOWS WHATS GOING ON WITH THIS OR IF YOUR ATTORNEYS CAN DIRECT ME TO S0MEONE UP MY WAY CADILLAC/HOUGHTON LAKE/TRAVERSE CITY AREAS.
I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU. SO FAR I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH BBB, ATTORNEY GEN OFFICE AND NOW IM WAITING FOR A COPY OF A STATED APPRAISAL I REQUESTED LAST WEEK (THIS IS THE 2ND TIME). I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A NUMBER FOR THE APPRAISER THAT DID MINE. J AND J APPRAISAL JOHN DUNN. You should have read my book first which is advertised on the site! You didn't specify what your loan amount is. There are things that can be done but all mortgages deal with the three basics, LTV, Debt Ratio's, and Fico Score. Is your loan amount over and above the value of the property? Maybe I can help.
