Anderson Crenshaw And Associates, RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! They will THREATEN & HARASS YOU. THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO TRY AND COLLECT A DEBT! The entire company is a RIP-OFF! Dallas Texas

A lady by the name of Patti Phillips contacted me in April 2008 from Anderson Crenshaw and Associates. She left a voicemail when she called without telling me where she was from, only left her name and ext. number. She was calling about a contract that I had cancelled with CTS Protective Services. (When we purchased a house we were contacted by CTS with an offer of our *FREE* security system). I agreed to get the system, but it wasn't disclosed to me that there was a 3 year contract until after the system had been installed. Our service was to be provided by ADT. After a year of service I cancelled the contract. Our alarm was actived a couple of times, and we never received a call from ADT, so I cancelled.

I tried to explain to Ms. Phillips the situation, but she flatly told me that she did not care. She was demanding payment of over $1000 within a couple of hours or she was turning over my account and they were going to sue me and put a mark on my credit report. I tried to explain to her that it just wasn't possible for me to make that kind of payment (the day before my son had been released from ICU).

She did not care, and wasn't interested in any of the payment arrangements I tried to make. She was demanding payment in full. She then begins to scream at me because I wasn't willing to make an instant payment. As soon as I said anything to her about the fact that she was screaming, she would just scream over me. She hung up on me, I called back to talk with her supervisor, and he was just as awful as she was.

I began explaining to him the situation, and that I was totally willing to pay the debt if they would be willing to work with me, and he said that I could make 3 payments. It just wasn't something I could do at that time. He said they would be suing me, and they were going to report me to the credit bureau.

A couple of weeks later Ms. Phillips called me back again and asked if I would be willing to make payment arrangements. I agreed to 5 payments of $220. I was told when I made the payments that if I called in advance, I could move the payment date. I made 2 payments and called to reshedule my 3rd payment. Ms. Phillips became very rude and irate, telling me that I couldn't reschedule the payment.

She said that they would take the payment on the scheduled date, because they had a recording of me giving them authorization to take the payment from my account. I asked if she was recording our current conversation, she said yes. I told her that she then had a recording of me forbiding them from debiting my account for this month. She hung up. I called back, asked for a supervisor and was told there weren't any, they were all in a meeting.

I was continually hung up on by various other people. I continued to call back trying to keep them from debiting my account. I ended up on the phone with a so called "manager" by the name of Ms. Young. She was AWFUL too! She didn't care what I had to say. She was more upset by the fact that I called one of her employees and A**! It didn't seem to matter how they had talked to me or how they threatened me!

This company tried to use scare tactics, threats and harassment. I was willing to pay the debt, but at this point, they will not receive one more dime from me. This is the most deplorable company with the no ethics or regards to the Fair Credit Act. They will not provide you with the information from the original creditor, and they will not provide you with a copy of anything you have signed.

Stay away from any company that uses Anderson Crenshaw. I will look forward to seeing this company on 20/20 or Dateline. There has to be a way to expose these people for what they really are.......THUGS!!!!!!!! I'm not sure where to go from here, but I will be reporting them to anyone that will listen, and that's going to include the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General.
