I recently purchased a vehicle from Anything on Wheels. I would say if you want to be taken advantage and buy a car that they dont bother to check out before reselling than this is the place for you. Right after purchasing the car and signing the documents they walked us outside, handed us 1 key with no remote for the remoteless entry, the trunk slammed shut as the shocks were gone. They advised us the car would be detailed and it wasnt. Right after i drove it off the lot, the back window went down and never went back up. I took it back the next day, they agreed to fix it, and kept the car for 3 more days. 2 weeks later during a bad rain storm i went into the car andthere was a flood in the back seat. the sun roof was leaking to the point that there was no way that they did not know this. I took the car back again. they agreed to look at it, they determined the car needed a new sunroof installed and they were not going to pay for it. the sales manager sarcasitcally stated he hated this part of his job as the car had no factory warranty and the car was sold as it. I took the car else where to determine what was wrong and there was damage to the drain system of the car that did not develop over night. If you want a crappy car and a dealership that is not upfront about the cars that you are purchasing Anything on Wheels is for you

you do have to be more careful...

I mean you took possession of the car knowing it only had one key, no remote for the keyless entry, the trunk shocks were gone and it wasn't detailed as promised. So things like leaks or a window getting stuck are not surprising really.
The suggestion to have a car checked out before you buy it by a pro is a good one, as a pro would have noticed signs of water leaks if they have been there a while.
Not to say you didn't get ripped off, but that kind of goes with the territory of buying a used car from these places, there are endless reports here about this type of situation. But some blame has to be placed on the buyer if they do business with places like this, and do not check out the vehicle by a pro if they are not a pro themselves.
Now the dealer is correct..that once sold "as-is" there is no implied warranty. What this means is even if the engine blew up tomorrow, they would not be legally liable. Same thing with the back window stuck, they didn't have to fix it but at least they did, granted 3 days is a long time to be without a car.
There is really no way around the "as-is" clause..unless any false advertising was involved. In other words if the ad or contract stated it had new brakes, but it is discovered the brakes had 75,000 miles on it.."as-is" would not apply and you could demand resolution or sue. Also, if the mileage has been tampered with, or if the vehicle you purchased was not the same vehicle they used in the ad..you would have grounds to recover.
Unfortunately in this case..it seems you purchased a piece of s**t as-is, and may be stuck. It was a good gesture to warn others by reporting here, but it won't help if the dealers can legally sell broken cars by selling them "as-is", and the customer is not a mechanic, or does not have it checked out by one before buying.
Many dealers will use some special terms to describe condition such as "cream puff" and "cherry". Same rule applies with as-is...it does not matter what kind of pastry, fruit or other dessert used to describe the condition...to be false advertising it would have to be an outright lie about something physical with the vehicle as described in the ad. Whatever the dealer may have said..usually won't hold up in court as it is your word against theirs, you need actual proof such as the original ad and/or a contract.

clickers do not make a car a lemon

First of, all cars are sold at Anything on Wheels are sold on As-Is basis to everyone. In this case the customer signed and dated all material and was fully aware of the contract he/she was entering into. The dealership did go above and beyond its stated duties and take care of some the complaints the customer had, strictly on a generosity stand point. We do offer warranties on certain vehicles with that said, offered by a third party. Here at Anything On Wheels all of our vehicles are meticulously gone through by certified mechanics before they are offered for sale. They are NOT new cars, so we can NOT guarantee that they will come with extra keys, floor mats, and etc. With being used cars they will also sometimes have minor flaws that we can not foresee, hence the fact they are used cars. Lastly this customer chose to leave out the price of the vehicle which I will also, but it was priced accordingly to its condition, and this car was in no way, shape, or form a lemon.

Learn about cars

First I would like to said that you obviously dont know anything about cars and whats this drain system you are talking about thats also bad on your car. I think youre about to get ripped off again by the mechanics shop.
Did you not look at the car, take it for a test drive or check the mechanical operation of this vehicle??? It sounds like you went to this dealer and they talked you into buying a car, have you sign the loan papers and then take you out to show you the car you just bought.
Sounds like this dealership saw sucker written on your forehead and reeled you in hook, line and sinker.
I would suggest in the future that you learn some automotive skills, Im not saying be a mechanic, but learn some basic skills and look the car over and take it for a test drive before you buy. You could take the car to a reliable mechanic to have him look it over and tell you if there is anything wrong with the car and then use that information for getting money taken off the asking price on the car.
