Anything on Wheels is a disgraceful company. I went to their car lot and looked at the cars, and I informed the sales rep I didn't have any credit and was this going to be a problem. He assured me it wouldn't. That day I saw a 2002 Galant. I asked if I would be able to get that car and he said "yes". So I returned the following day and then they said because I had no credit I couldn't get it. So, I settle for a 2000 Galant. First, they said all I'd have to put down was $1000+ my trade in. Then when I came with the money, and they said I needed $1600+ the trade in. Then, they said I needed $2000+ trade in. So by this point I was pretty irritated. Anyway, while waiting for a financial consultant for 6 hours, they forced me to transfer my insurance to a car I didn't even know if I could get (this was there "policy"). So I was finally approved with a 29.5% interest rate so the car I thought would be $6975 + taxes and other fees ended up being 12,575 + taxes and other fees. So as I was driving home the first day I realized the engine light on so I called them the next day. They also made me sign up for the warranty which did not even cover my broke alternator. So I paid $300 for them to fix it. Then a couple weeks later, it broke again and they made me pay for the towing. And it has just been a long, horrible experience with them and wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING ON WHEELS!

What About Walking???

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 05, 2006

Danielle:

From you posting, you said they changed the down payment terms several times...you waited around six hours and then "they forced me".

When they changed the down payment the first time, WHY DID YOU STAY???

When they kept you waiting SIX HOURS, why did you stay???

And then they "forced you". (Should we call the police on this?)

Danielle, you knew UP FRONT they were playing games with you. Do you think so little of yourself that you feel the need to continue letting them treating you like this? You could have and should have walked out in the begining!
They didn't force you to do anything, Danielle...you voluntarily participated.

Am I trying to make you mad? I'm trying to get you to see a major error. You will probably live to buy many more cars...I don't ever want to see you treated like this again! Did they do the right thing? Probably not. But why on earth did you stay there instead of walking out? You are under NO OBLIGATION to any car dealer. The best defense we have against this sort of thing is OUR FEET! Of course all dealers should operate by standards of integrity, but we as customers shouldn't be willing to accept whatever they do to us and then REWARD THEM by giving them our business!

Look at this Danielle, by you own admission they treated you like garbage. What did you do? You gave them exactly what they wanted...YOUR MONEY! Doesn't make much sense, does it?
