I talked with Adam from Apollo movers the week of November 12, 2007 to move me on Saturday, Nov 17th. They gave me an estimated total quote of $240. I emailed him (written contract) that this is great and he confirmed with me via email and phone we're all set for 9am on Sat. 9am comes and a driver called with the "flat tire" excuse. Two hours later, several unreturned calls to a messaging/dispatch service and tears...I was able to get Schleppers Movers to my house in an hour.
Adam had the never to call me up around noon asking me "how the move was"
I said Schleppers are great, YOUR guys never showed. He actually told me to tell the current movers to put my stuff back because Apollo was going to move me the following day at a discounted rate! I told him, he should listen to how ridiculous he sounded...and thanks to his unreliable company, my move was now costing $750 (not including the $200 tip I gave to the 4 guys who were excellent and so patient with me).
I would like the difference back of what Apollo should have cost me.
I don't want this to happen again to anyonw.

Incorrect for two reasons.
Firstly, I have searched all the jobs in our systems for those that occured in Staten Island in the above stated month. I have no customer by this name who has moved in Staten Island.
Secondly, the price of $240 is way below our minimum. The cheapest job that we would ever quote is 3 hours of labor plus 1 hour of travel time (for a local job). This is with a crew of 3 professional men at our rate of $85 an hour. This total comes out to be $340, which is our minimum.
I really do not know what seems to be the issue here with this customer but for the above stated reasons the information posted is inaccurate.
