Alright, so my I purchased an ascentive product online and gave my billing info. It seemed like a good program, with a professional web page etc. However, this is not what I got.

First off, the program is garbage. Dont buy it! It was like downloading spam for my computer and then paying for it. It made my computer slower via flooding it with pop-ups from other ascentive programs! So it doesnt work, and im not happy with it.

I check my email to find out that I've been billed more than I realized, instead of 29.95 Im charged $47.XX something dollars for a physical copy to be shipped to my house. I did not select anything but the downloadable copy, it selected the upgrade for me. Sneaky little trick to get more money out of me.

I was also charged 3 times on my credit card! What? I only wanted to buy one downloadable copy that was guaranteed money back? Now They have 120 bucks out of me for software I dont want! (In all fairness, the purchase is still pending so they might be able to fix it, however, it still ate away at my credit limit.)

I figured I would call the customer service line, But wait! They dont have one. Everything is done via email and the website states that it will get back to you on the next business day. No direct line to a customer service rep?

The only way to get your money back is through a gauntlet of webpages that I had to search through and continue to click "Cancel." This seems like it is designed to slow you down so you give up your refund seeking expedition.

Then it tells me that I need to whitelist the incoming email so I make sure I can recieve their reply. NOW,I already recieved the confirmation email from them so why wouldnt I be able to recieve one from the cancellation department if they both are sending it from ascentive.com? Ill tell you why! They arent planing on sending anything. And they dont want to refund it. They said a test email would be sent to me to make sure I can recieve emails from them, but this is stupid. I already recieved two confirmation emails! Now when I want my money back, there are errors with the email system? Come on! Stay away from Ascentive LLC.

Ascentive Gave Me A Refund, What A Suprise!

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 28, 2009

I bought the program : Ascentive PC Speed Scan Pro. I thought it would make my computer run a bit faster, as Advertised. But it did not, and yes I should have known better. Should have checked them out first. I did within the thirty days ask for a refund, and wrote many emails telling them I didn't want their program any
more. Because it was very hard to find anything on their web site or the program. I also told them I had kepted all the emails which were sent to me and that I was deleting the program, which I did do, with no problems. I wrote that I would be expecting a refund, since I had only had the program a month.

Did I really expect a refund, not after reading about all the people here on this site, saying they had been Ripped Off.

But to my suprise I got an email today, saying they would be sending me a refund. I thought it would be a cold day in he--, if that happened. Guess what was in my account when I went to check... A Refund for the full amount.

I know this company has ripped off many other people, but they did send me a refund. Why, I don't really know, but they did. I thank them for that much.

I hope others will also get their refunds, keep trying, don't give up.

Good Luck Everyone.
