Authority Tax Services Authority Tax Service preys on scared people los Angeles California

 I chose to use this service to help with a 1099 that was not correct.  IRS wanted over 11000.00 from me.  Scared, I called Autority tax.  I got someone on the phone - Arin Haghverdian, my Case worker. 

They took my money immediately and stated this could be resolved in about 3 months mayber sooner.   Here we are EIGHT months later and I continue to incur additonal costs.  It is worth including that I was not being garnished nor was there any pending liens.  I wanted to address this early to avoid that.

Arin first asked for my money- which he got in full, then told me to watch for an email and snail mail with some required documents information.  3 week pass and I have nothing, so I attempt to call.  The phone number has no way to leave a voicemail and of course no one was answering.

I kept calling, finally got Arin on the phone who proceeded to tell me he didnt get my documents, I asked him to check again and low and behold he found them.

He then stated he would get the information to the lawyers and would be back in touch with me should he need anything.  He specifically told me not to call, that they would call me if they needed anything.  I heard nothing for about 2 more months.  I called and again got the run around to find my "case worker" Arin.  He then proceeded to ask be about a payment plan for the total amount, I said, "wait a minute" I was told this was an easy case and that you could help address this with at most reduce the amount.  He then said something about me cashing in a retirement plan - WHAT!!! this was about a 1099.  He then stumbled over his words and stated he would contact the IRS and get a payment summary to see what was going on.  REALLY, 4 months into this and you still have no idea what is going on?

Did not hear from him again, called, same scenario....no way to leave a message, spent a ton of time just trying to get someone on the phone. Still no resolution.  No help, no information forwarded to me...NOTHING.

I finally contacted an accounting firm who will be refiling for me and then take it from there.  Easy enough!!!!!!!

Today I called, same run around no way to leave a message

finally got through - put on hold for 15 min and disconnected

Called back - spoke with Alicia - All I want is a refund - she transferred me Jacqueline who transferred me to Annabelle who said there was work done on my case - REALLY, with me continuing to incur increasing penalties and No contact from their office as to where we are at...what work - requesting a payment history? REALLY?  Its been 8 months.....8 months.

She told me to write a letter for the refund....gave me an address in LA, I also asked for a customer service number I could get through to she gave me - 888 387 1760, called it is not customer service - I was given another number from that number 888 529 3140 - NOT customer service - I was given another number 201 414 5383 AND GUESS who answers Alicia- Back to the beginning.

Alicia now puts Richard on the phone from the AP departement - he tells me do not write a letter it has already been sent up to corporate but it will take time  - how much time I ask?  He says abot 4 weeks - REALLY it took 20 minutes to take my money and here we are 8 months later with no resolution what so ever!!!!

OH and he didnt hang up before stating - this is not a promise you will get your money back......
