 Terry Williams operates multiple auto transport companies with active web sites and active postings on TransportReviews.com.  The companies have addresses in Camas, WA, Washugal WA, Portland OR and Chandler AZ.  Only one of these companies has an active authority from the FMCSA and active insurance to operate, but all the companies will take your order (which is completely illegal and exposes you to massive risk).

If you call one of the companies without a license, they will take your order and then funnel through the active company (Auto Transport Group).  If you have a problem and go the company they funnel the work to, they will say you were not their customer.  And if you go back to the company you worked with, they have no authority or insurance so you are on your own with no legal recourse.  By the way, these are not DBA (doing business as) names. These are presented as completely distinct companies which is why this is so illegal.

In addition, they run an illegal contest in which they tell you if you give them a 5-star review on TransportReviews.com, you will be entered into a drawing to get your shipping refunded in total.  However the way they have implemented the contest is illegal in at least most states, and there is no evidence they have ever awarded the money to anyone (making it even more illegal).  Further, if you post anything less than a 5-star review, they tell TransportReviews.com that you were not their customer and the review will not go up unless you go through a huge amount of effort to prove you were their customer.  They then reply to your review with misleading in dishonest information to try and discredit you.  In addition, when you fill out your review they give you a link to the form, but the form is filled out for Auto Shipping Group even though you may have used a different company like Domestic Auto Transport.  So if you do give a 5-star review it makes Auto Shipping Group look like a rock star shipping company even though you never authorized ASG to do any work for you.

You can verify my claims regarding licensing and insurance by going to the FMCSA web site and looking them up by the state in which they were originally registered prior to being voluntarily removed to avoid paying a $75,000 bond with the FMCSA.  You’ll also be unable to find 2 of the companies as they have never been registered with the FMCSA period.  http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/pkg_carrquery.prc_carrlist

While their actions are unethical and completely illegal, and while I’ve filed formal complaints with the FMCSA and the BBB, resolution on this will likely take some time.  I strongly recommend you avoid using any of the Terry Williams companies including:
