Auto Shipping Group (Magic Carpet) Car Damaged during shipment Washougal Washington

Hello,

I shipped a vehicle with this company from Washington state to Florida. I was told that my vehicle would be delivered at 9pm and to meet the truck at the local mall. I arrived to find the truck was parked in the only un-lit area of the mall parking lot. It was completely dark when I inspected my vehicle and did not notice several small dents on the roof of my car. I signed the damage waiver and drove off in my vehicle. 

A few days later I noticed the damage to the roof of my car. Several small dents just above the driver's side window and in the exact same position on the opposite side of the car as well. This damage was obviously caused by the auto-transport truck. I called the rep that I had dealt with. I figured the pictures would speak for themselves given the location and type of damage. Never heard from him again. 

I have read several reviews of similar circumstances. Several other victims of the same tactic- having to inspect their car late at night in an un-lit parking lot because the drivers know it is damaged. This was my first time shipping a vehicle. I did not know I needed to bring a flashlight to combat the dishonesty of the employees.

If you ship your car with this company, take a flashlight with you when you inspect it.
