Autotrail Transporters ripoff dishonest withholding funds for services not rendered use of profanity when request was made for refund disrespect and disregard towards me as a service member defending our country right now Bayville New York

My husband was leaving for Kosovo and I was leaving for Afghanistan so we needed to ship one of our vehicles back to North Carolina from Honolulu, HI. My husband contacted Autotrail Transporters to ship our vehicle. He talked with the company over the phone and they faxed a contract to him and had him to give them all the necessary information regarding the shipment to include his account information for payment for the shipment upon contract agreement. This company, without giving my husband time to sign and return the contract agreeing to the vehicle shipment, debited over $800.00 from his checking account. Well my husband sold the vehicle a day later and did not need their services and decided not to sign and return the contract to them and instead called them and told them he no longer had the vehicle and would not need their services. They told him that they were going to charge him a cancellation fee and return only $630.00 of his money.

My husband stated that he wanted his money back and they said they would redeposit the money to his account within three weeks where it only took them two days to debit the account for the money. Well a month passed with no money being returned. I had to contact Autotrail Transport since my husband had already left for Kosovo. When I contacted them the next week, they gave me the run around by telling me to call back at a later time. When I called back for the third time, a woman answered the phone saying that the money would be returned sometime that week. When I asked her how much she stated only $630.00. I asked her how they were intending on charging a cancellation fee when we never signed a contract with their company agreeing to anything. She told me to hold on and put another lady on the phone who stated quote "we would not be recieving a penny of the money back" and hung up the phone.

I immediately called back and asked the lady to speak to someone in management and she asked what for and I replied that I was going to be seeking legal assistance with this matter and reporting their company to the military installation leadership so they could officially alert other military service members about their fraudulent and unprofessional practices. She told me to hold on and a man got on the phone and starting yelling and screaming about me threatening them and I replied I wasn't threatening them I just wanted to speak to someone in management. He said I could not speak to anyone and that I should have my attorney contact them for anything else. I told the guy that I wanted to speak to management about this and that I was leaving in a week for Afghanistan to serve my country and wanted this resolved.

He shouted "BULLSHIT serving your country, BULLSHIT". Can you believe this guy? He again said he wasn't going to deal with me on this matter and hung up. This is not the actions of a legitimate company bu no means. This is a total sham of a transporting company. A total rip off. This is far from being over regardless if I have to try and get this matter fixed while I'm delpoyed to Afghansitan. It will be recifiied.
