I went to aveda salon on Jan.5/06 first off 1 side of my hair has some highlights the other half has none. Second they charged me $60.00 when it should be 30.00 for partial highlight.
I phoned and talked to the manager as soon as I got home 2and a half hour drive. She assured me that I would get a partial refund for my over charge and get my highlights fixed for free. I told her that I would have to wait for atleast a week because I had to go to a wedding 6 hour drive away.
She said no problem just call us when you get back. I phoned 6 days after that, someone else spoke with me and let me know that they had talked it over and decided they would not give me my money back and on top of that they were going to charge more money to get half of my head fixed.
I asked to talk to the owner and they would not let me, they said they would have a director call me. The director is there only once every 2 weeks on a tuesday. I call they put me to her answering machine. Impossible for me to talk to her.
Anyways I want to talk to the owner and let them know how Ive been lied to by thier employees. I want my full money back since I have to go somewhere else to get my hair fixed.

Why did you leave the salon?

Mary, my thought on this situation is why did you leave the salon in the first place if you knew that "only half of your hair had highlights"? If there was a problem you should have spoken up then- and I also would have questioned why the hairstylist was only using the highlighters on the one side of my head as she/he was actually in the process. Hopefully the next time you go to a salon your experience is better.
