My Congressional Veteran Liaison had made it clear to me that my unemployment issues were directly related to my attorney and former employer, Asset Protection and Security Service (Asset).  Somehow, Asset human resources ‘mistakenly’ attested on my security clearance form that I am a ‘felon’ – which I, of course, am not.   This resulted in my remaining unemployed unnecessarily for over nine months – a violation of the agreement we reached in mediation.  When I informed my attorney, Ms. Barbara Figari, of this and requested all of the documentation in my case file, she surprisingly became defensive and guarded.  When I discovered that she failed to follow up on key portions of my evolving case that were clearly in my best interest and, in fact, neglected to address clear violations by Asset of our agreement, I was devastated.  I then confronted her with the documentation revealing her dereliction of duty, and was summarily fired as her client.  She then cut off all communication with me.  Both telephone and e-mail records clearly prove this.
