Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, Inc. ripoff, free offer turns into automatic orders/charges. Refuses to refund Cincinnati Ohio

I took advantage of a T.V. ad for Numovil, went online to order free 30 day supply, paid postage. Started taking pills.

At about the 20th day, noticed a charge on my account for $70. The next day, received a 60 day supply in the mail.

Called Berkeley to say there was an error. IMMEDIATE attitude at that end. "The booklet you received clearly states you must cancel in advance of the first shipment....let's read the words together...." Said I wanted a refund. I was told no, flat no. I asked for a supervisor, who, by the way had an even nastier attitude.

Again, said I wanted a full refund. Supervisor said, "...didn't (name) offer you a half refund when you spoke with her?" Nope, she didn't, and I want a FULL refund. "Well, in that case, you won't get anything." AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!

Upon revisiting the booklet that came with the sample, in small print, buried in a bunch of other verbage, there is a notice that shipments will continue unless cancelled. They hide it very well.

These people should be slapped hard for taking advantage of people, and for the attitude of their staff (obviously, mine wasn't the first call of it's type. These people prey on the elderly, which makes them less than the maggots at the bottom of a garbage can.

I have notified the California and Ohio State Attorneys General, and the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau. I have also filed a complaint with The Discovery Channels, who are running ads for this company.
