Saw a TV commercial for "dromias" thought it would be a product I could try out. I went online to order the product. Offer was for a free 30-day trial...only shipping would be charged. I received the 30-day trial (did not try it), a few weeks later a package was sent from Berkeley that included a book of different suppliments they also produced and sold. I was looking at my credit card statement and was quite shocked that there was a $70.00 charge from Berkeley. I called Berkeley at their customer service number and questioned the charge. They THEN explained their Berkeley Value Added Program.

A program of which I was unaware of, nor ever notified that I would be charged for. So, I explained this to Linda (customer service rep supervisor) and she said she would cancel my membership and no further suppliments would be sent. I was not pleased w/ the charge to my credit card and demanded a refund. At that time she notified me that I would have been billed on the 19th (actually billed on the 18th) and that my order would have been mailed on the 20th. The phone conversation took place on the 23rd. I told her I would send the package back and would expect my money be credited back to my card. She said she would meet me "half-way" and give me a 35 dollar credit for the confusion (on my behalf). I proclaimed that I was never advised of this program and felt the charge was done w/o my notification and that I would call my credit card company to dispute the charge.

She told me not to do that, that she would have my "membership" reviewed and for me to call back in 3 days (being wednesday...today actually). I just called and spoke with Kerlitta (CSR), who informed me that Linda was not available at the moment, and that she would be able to help me. I told her I'd feel more comfortable talking with Linda being that she already knew what I wanted. Did not offer to take a message, instead tried to sale me some m-o-r-e suppliments. I explained to her I was not interested in the sale, I was actually returning some, and would appreciate a "physical" mailing address. Kerlitta gave me a P.O. Box number, to which I plan on sending the package received confirmed mail. No credit has been issued to my credit card.
