BH Financials Fraud Mail Alert Niagara Falls Ontario

A so called "Consumer's Reward Program Lottery" said I won 39,000 and receive a cashiers check for 3,900 that was the tax of my winnings. It took a few time trying to get anyone when calling their number, finally got someone, but couldn't catch every word he said because of his very heavy African accent. I understood him saying for me to cash the check at my bank then call him in 2 days to see if it cleared.

The first red flag I saw was that it was from Canada yet it was an American Lottery and the bank on the check was in Ohio. Another red flag was that I don't ever remember signing up for any lottery and also I had to call them long distance. I don't know the rules of a real lottery, I know you do have to pay taxes, I thought they automaticly take the tax out then give you the winnings.

Anyway, the next day of receiving the letter, I took it to my bank and asked if she could cash it. She looked at it and before she could say anything I asked if she could make should it was real. She said she doubt it, then she called the bank on the check and they verified that it was not real because they are in Columbus not Columbia, which was the city on the check, is there such a place called Columbia, Ohio?

Well I didn't win or lose, but I'm still going to call Friday because I want to see if they will give me more info for me to give the cops.
