This report is on lack on communication and follow through by Brown & Brown to remove and repair damage done to two 2006 Chevy Silverados because of the overspay of bedliners.

At the time, of picking up the black silverado after the linner was put in I was very considered about the overspay being on the rest of the truck. Talked to James in the after market sales he told me that all I needed to do was wash it and it will come right off. That day I took it to the car wash and the bumps/overspray did not come off.

Then, called Brown & Brown to set up an appointment to remove the overspray. Talked to James again about the overspray he said it should of come off with the wash. I told him it was still there. So, called someone eles in customer service and then brought in the black silverado to the service shop. I then left the truck when I came to pick it up I looked at the truk and now it was covered with scratches where they used a scrating pad to remove the overspray.

I told customer service that there were scatches she took a report and then said that she would call me to see what could be done. Days went by. We finally took it down there and talked to our sales rep. Scott. He looked at the truck and said that there were scatches and he would take care of it. Days went by and no call from Scott.

Finally, we called and he said that the truck was ready so we went down to Brown & Brown. I looked at the truck and the scatches were still there. I talked to Scott and he said that there were no scratches. So, it was now an arguement and he had attitude. So we took the truck home and called GM and filed a report. We were told that someone would get back with us.

A week end by and no one called so we called them. Then we were told that someone else would contact us. We waitted again for another week. After that we called GM again and talked to the same lady she said "our problem is an over market issue and that they will not be doing any thing to help us out".

So, now we are stuck with a brand new truck that has scratches and another new truck that the paint is coming off. All we wanted is for our trucks to get fixed so that we could of been satisfied. We will never ever by another vechile from any Brown & Brown dealership again.

Spray On Bedliner

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 25, 2006

Bought a new ford truck a while back. They tried to sell me a spray on bedliner that they, the dealer do. Didn't go for it. When I was back in MAKE READY watching them prep my truck, they were spraying on bedliners for a couple of trucks that were back there. They were really doing a crappy job. I've looked at the TWO other companies that do aftermarket spray on bedliners. They are much better then the cheap jobs at the dealer AND you don't have to pay for it for the duration of your car loan. Just another example of ripoff dealer add ons.
